How to improve your Google page rank
Posted On Monday, July 12, 2010 at at 1:46 AM by RonakThe mechanics of how to improve your Google page rank can clearly never carry any guarantees of success. The formula which Google employs to determine its page rank has by its very nature to remain a closely guarded secret or it would lose all of its intrinsic value and become meaningless. This does not mean, however, that there are not ways in which a Webmaster can take very significant steps to enhancing their chances of improving their Google page rank.
The first thing which the crawling Google spiders take in to account when indexing a website is the quantity, quality, relevance and freshness of the site's content. It is imperative that any website have plenty of quality content on it which is kept extremely relevant to the subject of the site and is kept both fresh and up to date. Websites which are essentially left to stagnate, without regular updates in this respect, will be likely to plummet in the Google rankings.
Keywords are important to a Website in improving its Google page rank. These are words or small phrases which are extremely relevant to the subject of the site and should be included in the textual content fairly regularly. Google page rank varies its keyword optimisation formula but it is generally believed to fluctuate between two and five percent.
Relevant outbound links are important for any website looking to achieve a high Google page rank. These links should be to other sites or blogs on the subject of the website to assist visitors to the site in finding out more information on the subject. Including links in this fashion should never be considered as a means of diverting traffic away from a website but rather as providing a valuable service for its traffic.
Just as outbound links are important for improving Google page rank, so too are inbound links, linking to the website from elsewhere. These can be achieved by linking to it (in both directions) from the Webmaster's blog and social networking pages. They can be achieved by submitting it to social book-marking sites such as Digg or Reddit. They can even be achieved by contacting bloggers or Webmasters on related sites and suggesting reciprocal links. It is important to brainstorm legitimate ways of obtaining these links and do so at every opportunity.
The steps outlined above should improve the Google page rank of a website to at least some extent and if the Webmaster is also lucky, hopefully take the website on to Google's exalted front page for a relevant search.
Why Your Google Adsense Account is Not Getting Approved
Posted On Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at at 1:45 AM by RonakGetting a adsense account approved is a bit difficult task for most of the new bloggers as Google Adsense team is more strict than ever now. In this article I am going to explain why your adsense account is not getting approved.
our application for Google Adsense will not be approved if your website or blog do not satisfy any of the following guidelines :
* First of all your website must be your own top level domain like www.example.com and not the sub domain like www.example.com/blog.
* Your website must contain only substantial and original content.
* You must provide accurate personal information with your application that matches the information on your domain registration.
* Your website must comply with Google Adsense program policies which are given here : https://www.google.com/adsense/policies
So if your website/blog satisfies these guidelines then don’t forget and move ahead to apply for an Adsense account.
These guidelines are given by Google and not by me so these are mandatory conditions for any website to get an Adsense account :)
Google Produces Co2 (Carbon Dioxide)
Posted On Monday, January 12, 2009 at at 3:03 AM by RonakEnvironmental experts warned that browsing a website like Google could cause as much damage to the environment by generating more carbon dioxide as the aviation industry.
If you do a Google search once, it generates about seven grams of carbon dioxide -- about one half of boiling a kettle of water for tea, which produces about 15 grams.
The CO2 emissions are caused by the electricity that is required to power a user’s computer and the electricity that is used by Google’s servers or other website’s servers. The electricity is mostly generated by fossil fuels which then emit more CO2 into the atmosphere.
Environmental experts not only blame Google but the entire information technology industry. According to Gartner, an American research firm, the IT industry produces about two percent of global CO2 emissions and their carbon footprint exceeded aviation industry for the first time in 2007.
Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross, a physicist from Harvard University, has calculated how much a single visit to a website produces CO2. It produces about 0.02 grams of CO2 for every second they are viewed. If the site has more multimedia features, then it will produce even more CO2 amounts close to 0.20 grams.
IN SHORT GOOGLE PRODUCES THE SAME AMOUNT OF CO2 WHICH IS PRODUCED IN PREPARING TWO CUPS OF TEA!
