HERE IS A TRICK TO PUT ur web PAGE ON OUR DESKTOP

To put a Web page on your desktop, start by right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop. THEN
Click on "Properties" to open the display properties dialog box.

To add a Web page to ur desktop:

1. Click on the desktop tab in the display properties dialog box

2. Click the "Customize Desktop." button

In the desktop items dialog box, click on the Web tab

The settings on the Web tab allow you to add new Web pages to ur desktop & customize their settings.From this screen, u can add a Web page to your desktop and customize its settings.

First, u need to goto Start, then run. Type in regedit in the box. Next, goto the folder

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\VxD\MSTCP

Now, find the string DefaultRcvWindow . Now, edit the number to 64240 then restart your computer. There you go. High speed cable modem now without dloading a program. Original value is 373360

Method:
Make a batch file with these lines (Copy the code in a note pad ans save it as hits.bat)

Depending upon your net speed u may increase the 10 secs time wait
With 10 sec time, u may have 360 hits in an hour.
With 5 sec time, u may have 720 hits in an hour.
Do not forget to put ur site’s name in place of http://yoursite.com

1. Click start > run

2. Type regedit > enter

3. Browse folder HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
\InternetSettings

4. Right click @ windows right > New > DWORD

5. Type MaxConnectionsPerServer > u can set value (the more higher the no, the more good
speed u get, eg : 99)

6. Create another DWORD >type MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server

7. Then put a high value as mentioned above

8. Then, restart IE … ur finished.This Trick will increase your browsing speed as well as downloading speed

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel on it, you can do some cool tricks.......

1.Shift & Spin

Ever wonder what happens when you hold down the Shift key on a web page and spin the wheel on your wheel mouse? Explorer goes either back or forward, depending on which direction you spin.

Give it a try. Open up Internet Explorer(or any other browser) and follow a few links. Then, hold down your SHIFT key and spin that wheel.

2.CTRL & Spin

If you are in a web browser (Explorer or Netscape or Firefox) , hold down your Ctrl key and spin the wheel. It makes the text larger or smaller depending on which way you spin. For Oper users, it magnifies both the images and the text.

The Remedy
** Start >> Run
** Type gpedit.msc
** This opens the Policy Editor
** Now, Local Computer Policy >> Computer Configuration
** Then, Administrative Templates >> Network
** Now, click on QOS Packet Scheduler
** Now, on Right hand side
** Double Click Limit reservable bandwidth
** Now in Setting Tab

It says : Not Configured
Reality : The Explain Tab says "By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection"

** So, on Setting Tab select Enabled
** Now, change Bandwidth limit (%) to 0 (Zero)
** Click OK !!!


That's All !!!

1. Click Start > Run > Type gpedit.msc
2. Click User Configuration > Windows Setting > Internet Explorer Maintenance > Browser User Interface
3. Double click on Browser Title
4. Click on Customize Title Bars
5. type in whatever you want
6. Click OK

Now you changed the title of your browser and you sure see what you wrote when you
open a New Widow.

Now access internet via your standard Microsoft Calculator

Steps:

1. Open your MS Calculator. This is normally found in Start => All Programs => Accessories => Calculator.

2. Open the help-window by pressing the F1 key.

3. Click the top-left corner icon of the help window once (Standard is a Document with a Questionmark).

4. Select 'Jump to URL'.

5. Type your address into the available field.

Steps are described as follows :-
1. Go to Google
2.Type transparent free proxy address free
3.Click on the transparent proxy fresh transparent proxy list
4.Look for a proxy address with port 8080
5.Now go to tools menu of internet explorer
6.Go to internet options
7.Connections tab
8.Click Activate use a proxy server for ur LAN options
9.Put that number that you found in the website with 8080 port and hit Ok
10.Again Ok Now open any website.

To alter the Size Of Text displayed , Just hold ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel !

Scroll UP : To Reduce Text Size
Scroll Down : To Increase Text Size

This tricks will improve the speed & load time of firefox.

Type about:config in the address bar, Then look for the following entries, and make the corresponding changes.

network.http.max-connections-per-server =32

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy =16

network.http.max-connections = 64

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 10

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 200

Lastly right-click anywhere and select New- Integer. Name it nglayout.initialpaint.delay and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.Enjoy!!

Did you people ever wish to set-up multiple home pages in Firefox ?
If yes, then you are at the right place. So here’s the way to do this little but useful little trick.
Suppose you would like to set Orkut, Google and my blog as your homepages. Then try this tweak in Firefox to set multiple homepages. This is what you should do :

• Goto Tools>Options>Main
• Choose Show my home page
• In Home page give your homepages separated by a | (pipe symbol)

Example:
http://www.google.com|http://www.orkut.com|http://tricks23.blogspot.com

• Click OK

Now next time when you start Firefox all of your three home pages will be displayed simultaneously.

# Download and install Mozila Firefox.

# Go to address bar and type: about:config

# Search for General.Useragent.Extra.Firefox. Double click on it.

# Change the default text with this:

Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0

If you are using another version of Firefox then replace 2.0 with your version. You can find the version from Help->About.

# Start Downloading without any Toolbar

1. Right-click on the desktop

2. Select New

3. Select Shortcut

4. Paste this into the text box:

(dont miss even a comma)

5. Click Next

6. Name it whatever: Google Talk Multiple, etc.

When you are browsing the internet and suddenly a window pop up with different messages for example" free update for your computer ","scan your computer with free antivirus". May be some pop-ups messages helpful for you but you should read first in detail before clicking it. Pop-ups basically an advertiser message or unwanted program and website that might be disturb your computer performance.
If you are working with Internet Explorer and want to block the pop-ups windows and unwanted messages. Open the Internet Explorer and click on Tools menu and go to Pop-up Blocker option, here you can Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to block pop-up from all websites. But you have option to allow some websites for pop-up. For this purpose open the Pop-up Blocker Setting. Here you can add some specific websites name to allow for pop-up and click Add. If you feel any problem to block any pop-up message due to some problem, simply click on the X at the right top of the pop-up windows.

The email comes with headers that carry important information that can tell where the email was sent from and possibly who sent it. For that, you would need to find the IP address of the sender. The tutorial below can help you find the IP address of the sender. Note that this will not work if the sender uses anonymous proxy servers.

Finding IP address in Yahoo! Mail

1. Log into your Yahoo! mail with your username and password.

2. Click on Inbox or whichever folder you have stored your mail.

3. Open the mail.

4. If you do not see the headers above the mail message, your headers are not displayed. To display the headers, Click on Options on the top-right corner, In the Mail Options page, click on General Preferences, Scroll down to Messages where you have the Headers option*,Make sure that Show all headers on incoming messages is selected, Click on the Save button. Go back to the mails and open that mail.

5. You should see similar headers like this:Yahoo! headers : nameLook for Received: from followed by the IP address between square brackets [ ].That is be the IP address of the sender!

6. Done.
